DRESS THE PART

Extended session options include an outfit change. Feel free to bring multiple options if you’d like me to check them out and help you decide. Please arrive to the shoot dressed and ready to go or arrive a few minutes early if you know you’ll need some time to get ready in your car! Keep in mind that the majority of shooting locations will not have restrooms and most people change outfits and get ready in their cars.

TIPS

- DON’T try to match... try to pick outfits and accessories that coordinate instead.

- DO be yourself, don’t be afraid to be bold. Accessorize and make it your own, we want to see your personality in these photos. Hats, bold necklaces, fun shoes, your favorite beers, a bottle of champagne, your child’s favorite toy - are always welcomed!

- MOST PATTERNS are actually ok.... however, graphics are not favorable for portraits. If you’re wearing a pattern, make sure it’s not distracting and make sure it’s not a tiny pattern like very thin strips or tiny polka dots. No logos or words!!

- EMPTY your pockets! Literally take it all out... You don’t want to have key chains or phones showing through your pockets. (This is for the guys especially!) You don’t want to be carrying anything either, so leave it all in your car.

- CHECK your wrists! Things like hair ties, fit bits, apple watches, fit-bits and other accessories can be noticeably awkward in your photographs.

- DOGS are always welcome to join our shoot! Consider getting a clean new leash or collar and be sure to bring treats or a toy to help keep their attention. You MUST bring along a friend or family member to take the pup since we’ll want photos with and without them.

- KIDS if you think your little ones will have a hard time focusing or may be camera shy, bring along a special treat and a favorite toy to help make them feel more at ease.

- COMFORTABLE Make sure you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing. There are many poses and movements we will go through, and tight fitting clothing limits us at times. Also if you’re uncomfortable in what you are wearing, it can show in the photos.

- 15 MINUTES EARLY The lighting is so important and the sun is only out for so long! You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to your session to allow adequate time for parking and outfit preparations.

- RELAX You don’t have to be a pro at this! Sessions are my favorite because they are so much fun, I’m going to help you along the way and it’s going to be a blast!

GETTING YOUR PHOTOS

You’ll receive your fully edited online gallery within 4 weeks of your session, this time can vary depending on the season, especially for the Fall which is the busiest time of year. When your photos are ready, the link will be sent to your email! You have full rights to use your photos, so share away! You can also order prints directly from your online gallery or download them to your computer to create save the dates!
