I'm very excited to announce that I am now a preferred vendor for Lippincott Manor in Wallkill, NY! If you are looking for a great rustic setting Lippincott may just be the perfect venue for you! With an absolutely adorable outdoor ceremony location under a huge weeping willow to the reception in their renovated tent, the property is awesome. I love shooting in unique settings and Lippincott is full of them. The grounds are beautifully maintained and great for photo ops from the gardens to the open fields with mountain views! The best part about Lippincott Manor is that they make it super easy and stress-free for brides and grooms with their all-inclusive packages. So, if you're looking for a great outdoor wedding in the Hudson Valley give them a call!
If I've said it once, I've said it a million times... Nothing compares to holding your wedding photos! Yes, I say it all the time, but I've realized that I rarely rave about the amazing albums that my clients create!
And I say "they create" because really - it is them! My brides and grooms get to make each album completely their own - from the layout of every page inside, to the customizable features of the exterior! You've already spent months choosing every little detail for your wedding and making sure it was perfectly 'you', so why not take the same care in customizing the album that will hold the photos from your day? It's the perfect way to add the final finishing touches to what was already the perfect wedding day!
Jenna and Cody got married this past Fall at the beautiful Stagecoach Inn in Goshen, NY. They both live busy lives down in Washington DC, so creating their album long distance took some extra time, but because of that, I am even more excited for them to finally get theirs!
With over 30 different cover choices and tons of color combinations, the options are endless! They chose to customize their Signature Album with Gold Foil Debossing and a beautifully soft Sand Linen cover and finished it off with stunning Gold Gilded pages!
If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for gold tones * cue swoon * so, I especially loved their choice of the bold metallic gold against the subtle texture of the linen... It's a heirloom piece that they will be reminiscing over with family and friends for years to come!!
The first dance is one of my favorite moments when I shoot weddings, I love to see what song the couple has chosen to play.
Music can be an intimate glimpse into your relationship... will you choose something new or an old school favorite? Something fun or something ultra romantic?
I know from experience that choosing that song can be a tough task!
My husband, being a musician, can be picky about his music choices, so our song was tough to pick. Ultimately, we chose "How Long Will I Love You" the Ellie Goulding version, which was performed by our wedding band. We came across it while watching the movie "About Time" (Yes my hubs will watch any chick flick, with Rachel McAdams in it that is!) and just loved the words and timeless feel of it!
Some of awesome unique first dance songs from other couples over the years have been:
Alicia Keys "Unthinkable"
Metallica "Nothing Else Matters"
Sleeping At Last "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" (Such a cool version!)
What is your first dance song?
Your wedding or photo session is not only about having awesome photos to fill your Facebook feed, it’s also about creating memories that you’ll pass down and share with your future family one day!
So, in 50 years when your grandkids say “Grandma, what was Facebook?” the way we would ask our own grandparents “What was a telegram?”
How will you share your favorite photos then?
We might have flying cars by then, who knows, but I can bet that no matter how far our technologies advance, that nothing will replace the feeling of holding a photo of a loved one in our own hands.
I would bet that, even if we all live in houses that talk to us and have implants in our heads (Okay, maybe I've been watching Black Mirror too much lately!) that we will still have framed photos hanging on our walls and albums on our shelves.
Heirloom quality pieces, like this amazing album, are the keys to cherishing your photos for generations to come!
Why not make your announcment even more special with amazing photos!Read More

No more holidays, no more vacation days, just cold.. bitter.. winter.. and man has it been cold here in the Hudson Valley!
So, here's some color to brighten up your Monday blues! How incredible are these tropical-inspired florals!?
This couple lives in Hawaii, so their "destination wedding" was here on the East Coast in Danbury Connecticut, near their hometowns and they brought the bright affections of the islands with them! I'm feeling all the warm and sunny vibes right now and I hope you are too!
Alyssa's sweet sixteen was held this past weekend at Novella's in New Paltz, NY and the snow didn't slow down anyones party! Her family and friends were so endearing and overjoyed to be celebrating such a sweet young lady. She looked amazing in her flowy teal dress that matched the colors of the room perfectly. From the uplighting to the centerpieces, Alyssa and her mom had planned out every detail perfectly and the only thing that shined brighter than the beautiful birthday girl was that AMAZING disco ball!!

Carly and Nic got married this weekend at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie.
Nic is from California and Carly is originally from New Jersey, their love is a true #bicoastalromance!
These Californians brought the old-school Hollywood class to the East Coast. From Carly's vintage inspired David Tutera gown with intricate beading, to the actual vintage hairpiece that held back her gorgeous flowing finger-waves. She even wore her grandmothers wedding ring as her "something old" momento.
Their love was so energetic, they opted to keep things traditional and not do a first look, so you could feel their love and excitement building as Carly walked down the aisle to Nic.
These two were so fun to work with throughout the night and everyone in the room could see and feel the joy they brought to each other!

A few favorites from this sweet couples engagement session! They drove all the way up from Maryland so they could have these special photos in the Hudson Valley where they grew up. We drove up to Perkins Tower in Bear Mountain State Park to take photographs, and it was a very popular fall weekend with hundreds of tourist around, but we managed to find some awesome spots in the woods and some amazing unobstructed views of the river just for them!
It's hard to believe it's really fall with a weekend as gloriously sunny and warm as it was for Cody & Jenna's wedding! The two got married this weekend in the backyard of the absolutely charming Stagecoach Inn. Recently voted "Best Old World Charm" in Hudson Valley Magazine, the Inn sets the tone of sophistication for any event. This intimate wedding was filled with so much joy and these long distance love birds are now Mr. & Mrs.!

Justin & Laura said "I do" this weekend in the beautiful backyard of their 1800's farmhouse, and home was the resounding theme of their day. My favorite part of Justin's vows was when he said that the best part of his day is coming home to Laura's hugs. Even though they have built this amazing house together and made it their own, it was so easy to tell that to them home is not just a place, home is in each other's arms.

When I say I absolutely love weddings, I really mean it! I tear up during the vows and I laugh during the toasts.... It is such an honor to me that I get to capture the most beautiful day of peoples lives! Lindsay and Kyle's wedding day was no different in this way, but their wedding itself - was so wonderfully unique! I love doing engagement sessions! Engagement sessions are so much fun, not only do they get couples comfortable in front of the camera, but they're also the perfect excuse to get dressed up and be all lovey-dovey! If you plan on doing Save - The - Dates, it is best have them sent out 6-9 months before your date and many people enjoy doing their session within the same season that their wedding will be - this beautiful couple will be getting married next August! Wedding planning can be stressful, an engagement session can be a great break from the stress and a chance to show off your love story!
This Engagement Session is of Andrew and Emily who are planning their summer wedding for next August in Connecticut! They are from NYC and came up to the Hudson Valley to this beautiful garden location for their shoot!
The weather was absolutely perfect for this August wedding! The views at West Point were stunning and put the cherry on top of this beautiful couples gorgeous wedding!
