02. Preferred Vendors List & Planning Tips

Here is a list of awesome local companies that I have worked with before and highly recommend! When you reach out, be sure to mention that Cass from CMP referred you!

TIP: Not all entertainment is created equally. Make sure to book both a DJ and an MC - the MC is the one that will run the nights events, make all announcement for formalities and get people on the dance floor!

TIP: Have a full list of people and what services they’ll be getting before booking to make sure you hire enough artists and stylists to complete everyone on time!
TIP: I’ll just be straight up with this one ladies - do not skimp on professional makeup! Photoshop cannot fix a bad foundation job that shows in every single picture from your wedding day.

TIP: Re-use your ceremony floral arrangements to decorate your reception area or head table! You can ask your florist or coordinator ahead of time to move the arrangements following the ceremony.
TIP: When deciding on your bouquet size, take into consideration your body type as well as your dress style. You want everything to look and feel proportional. And when in doubt, make your bouquet the biggest!

TIP: 50% of couples book both photo & video packages for their wedding day!

TIP: When booking a band, ask about adding-on a ceremony musician or cocktail hour quartet for a package deal!
TIP: To reiterate my advice from the DJ section, MC’s are SUPER important! And your band absolutely needs to have one as well.

TIP: Invitations are the first element of your wedding that guests will see. Set the tone for your big day by choosing a design that coordinations with your weddings style! Will your day be rustic or glam? Vibrant or romantic?

TIP: A sweet ending to a sweet day! Guests love edible favors and to-go treats after a night of dancing!

TIP: Even if you’re a DIY bride, hiring a day-of coordinator to help with the flow of your day and setting up your decor, will alleviate so much stress!

TIP: Make sure your officiant gets to know you and your fiance! Personalized ceremonies are the most meaningful and the most memorable for everyone present!
TIP: Remember, it’s your wedding day. Don’t feel pressured into doing any ceremony ‘traditions’ that don’t feel true to you and your fiance.
