There’s something truly magical about a November wedding in the Hudson Valley. The air turns crisp, the leaves blaze with fiery hues, and every moment feels wrapped in the warmth of autumn’s final goodbyes. On a spectacular fall day in November, surrounded by the breathtaking colors of the season, Maegan and Tim celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, NY - and it was nothing short of unforgettable.

I first met Maegan in 2022 when I photographed her sisters wedding and there is nothing I enjoy more than having the honor to continue capturing the love of a family - a family that is as kindhearted as they are beautiful!

Maegan first met Tim decades ago, as their parents were life long friends, the two grew up together unknowing what their future would hold.

One of my favorite ways to begin a wedding day is with a private first look followed by an intimate sharing of vows and exchanging of rings. Theres no better way to say “This is what today is all about; our love, our connection, everything else is just a wonderful bonus!” And these two really brought out all of the feels…their love is palpable and their joy in seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day filled the air.

Following the exchange we walked down to the riverfront for portraits with their large bridal party as golden hour set in and the water sparkled with sunshine.

The outdoor ceremony was perched above the Hudson River with panoramic views of the valley - The Grandview is stunning in the fall! The couple said “I do!” surrounded by family and friends and the sky light up with heart shaped confetti to celebrate! Everyone cheered them on and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight!

After the heartfelt ceremony, guests moved inside The Grandview’s new elegantly renovated event space for a reception that was as warm as the season itself. Tables were adorned with seasonal florals, classic and clean modern decor, and flickering candles that mirrored the cozy feel of a fall evening.

After a lifetime of knowing each other, growing together and falling in love - these two have so much to look forward to in a beautiful life together!

A Phenomenal Experience! Cass is a true artist and professional. On top of that, she is one of the kindest, most genuine souls I have met. She is organized and communicative, ensuring she has all of the details she needs to capture your day as you imagine it. On the day of the event, she goes above and beyond in ensuring timelines are kept as best as possible (even with a 19 person bridal party!). Her work is STUNNING! I have a tendency to be self-critical when looking at photos of myself, but when looking through our gallery I felt beautiful. I met Cass in 2022 when she was capturing my sister's wedding so I had the honor of experiencing her kind personality, artistry and professionalism firsthand prior to my own wedding planning. When my husband proposed two years later, I reached out to Cass without question and luckily she was available to capture our wedding day.

As a bride, no matter how detailed your timeline is, how many spreadsheets and checklists you make, it is impossible to keep track of it all on the big day when you simply want to savor every moment. Cass goes above and beyond as a wedding photographer, and in doing so she takes away the stress of logistics so you can fully be present. We had a total of 19 in our bridal party, not including ourselves and our families. That alone is a lot to coordinate, but Cass and her team managed to capture every photo we wanted within the pre-ceremony time frame.

The end results were absolutely breathtaking. When sharing photos our friends and family commented on how lovely the day looked, but then they specifically highlighted the quality of the photos. Cass has an incredibly eye for the backdrop, setting, lighting, poses and how they will impact the final result. You can come with your own ideas of course, but at the same time you can trust she's going to lean on her expertise and get phenomenal shots. 10/10 would recommend Cass to any future brides looking to capture their wedding day with high quality photography!
